The game was previously delayed in August of 2021, citing a narrative reboot and challenges related to working remotely in the midst of a global pandemic. In conjunction with the new trailer, developer KO_OP announced the Goodbye Volcano High will now be slated for release in Summer 2023. The above trailer gives a sneak peek at the gameplay, showing off the branching dialog and revealing another of the game’s original songs “Don’t Call” (featuring Brigitte Nagger) as performed by Fang and Trish’s band Worm Drama. Announced in 2020 and scheduled for 2021, then delayed until 2022, KO_OP has now further pushed back to Summer 2023.
